Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The Sous Chef will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, staff management, and ensuring consistent high-quality culinary offerings. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, leadership, and a strong culinary background to help elevate our dining experience to new heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop innovative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and culinary trends while meeting the preferences and dietary needs of our guests.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring that dishes are executed to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation, to maintain a motivated and productive team.
  • Supervise kitchen operations during service periods, maintaining a smooth flow of production and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the Head Chef to manage food costs and minimize waste while maintaining optimal ingredient freshness.
  • Uphold strict sanitation and food safety standards in compliance with health regulations and company policies.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication, teamwork, and professional development among kitchen staff.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and best practices to continuously enhance the culinary offerings and overall dining experience.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for creating innovative and visually stunning dishes.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire kitchen staff to deliver their best performance.
  • Solid understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff, management, and other departments.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, with a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Culinary degree or relevant certification from a recognized culinary institution is preferred.
